This is what I send people who tell me that they don’t bother to get the flu vaccine every year. In addition to the info here, consider that even partial immunity improves your outcome if you contact influenza. And the immunity conveyed by the vaccine can last for years, so even if the vaccine is for different strains every year, you have a better chance of not catching it if you’ve been vaccinated.
